Cristóbal González Salgado has been teaching Spanish since 2001 when he finished his studies at the University of Seville (Spain). He went on to achieve a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid.
After teaching Spanish in various different schools and institutions in Bavaria (Germany), Cristóbal started teaching in the IB programme (MYP and DP Spanish and Theory of Knowledge) at Munich International School in 2007, where he worked until 2016.
He has also worked at Chadwick International in Incheon (South Korea), as a teacher of MYP and DP Spanish and TOK and as TOK coordinator. Since 2018 he is working at NIST International School in Bangkok (Thailand).
Besides teaching, Cristóbal is an IBEN MYP workshop leader and MYP Spanish Language Acquisition Senior Examiner. He has also acted as DP Spanish B examiner and MYP Spanish B moderator. Cristóbal is co-author of several Spanish publications, including Eñe der Spanischkurs for Hueber Verlag (Germany), Gramática para Jóvenes for SGEL (Spain), and MYP Spanish Language Acquisition for Oxford University Press. He has been also collaborating on the development of the new MYP Language Acquisition guide.
Cristóbal is father of a boy and likes reading, singing, swimming, cooking and trying different kind of food. He likes to discover new places and loves the ocean. Every year he comes back to his hometown, Isla Cristina, at the Portuguese border at the Atlantic Southwest coast of Spain to spend time with relatives and friends.
