When teachers are genuinely enthusiastic about reading, children will follow.
Nikki Gamble is the Founder and Director of Just Imagine and Associate Consultant at UCL's Institute of Education. Formerly a teacher and teacher trainer, Nikki has has worked extensively in schools across the UK and internationally, most recently managing a project for the London Schools Excellence Fund with a focus on developing excellence in teaching reading at Key Stages 2 and 3.
Nikki is passionate about the teaching of reading and writing, with a particular focus on developing children's skills as they progress through the Junior years. She is author of Exploring Children's Literature, co-author of Guiding Readers, and is a consultant on the independent reading series, Treetops. She also serves on the National Council of UKLA.
