Readerful is for every child, including those older pupils who need to secure their phonics knowledge, improve their fluency and develop comprehension tools.
Our collection of Readerful Rise titles provides 7 to 11 year old readers with the opportunity to choose motivating, high-engagement books from the Readerful independent library alongside their peers.
What goes into a Readerful Rise book?
- Readerful Rise books are high engagement, low reading level books to get struggling readers motivated
- Age-appropriate in terms of themes and design, and the books are chunky to look like what everyone else in the class is reading
- Character mini-series from the Readerful Library link in with Rise, so that struggling readers can read about the same characters as their peers
- For Oxford Reading Levels 3-6, books include fiction and non-fiction with two-books-in-one. Once readers reach Oxford Reading Levels 7-11 every book includes a short ‘read aloud’ text to help support reading fluency
- The books all have accessible design and include in-book support aimed at the reader including built-in phonics, comprehension and vocabulary support designed to be accessible and appealing to readers
- All Readerful Rise titles are fully decodable
- Readerful Rise has been tested by struggling readers to ensure that these are best-in-class books
Rise & Phonics
Readerful Rise books follow the phonics progression of Essential Letters & Sounds (ELS). They can be used following any systematic synthetic phonics programme.
