Aidan Sproat-Clements
Aidan Sproat-Clements has been teaching in the British independent sector for over 15 years following undergraduate study of Mathematics and Music at the University of Cambridge. His teaching experience includes both IB DP Mathematics and MYP Mathematics alongside A-level, GCSE and IGCSE, and he helped develop the pilot eAssessments for the MYP in 2013.
Currently Director of Studies at Alleyn's School, one of the UK's leading co-educational independent schools, in the last ten years he has also consulted for schools in the state, independent and international sectors both in the UK and in the Middle East. As a head of mathematics, he pioneered applications of the Harkness method to the UK curriculum. In addition he has run training workshops and conferences for teachers with a focus on exploratory teaching styles and independent learning. Committed to outreach in education and the promotion of mathematics to students of all ages, he has run maths courses for adults.
He has co-authored a series of concept based MYP Mathematics Student Books for Oxford University Press.
