Matt Jarvis is an experienced teacher of psychology from GCSE to postgraduate level. He is a Chartered Psychologist and Scientist, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Matt currently teaches psychology at a sixth form college and holds the titles of Honorary Research Fellow at Keele University, and Psychology Consultant at the National Science Learning Centre. A former distance-learning tutor on the Greenwich University PGCE and visiting lecturer at Southampton University’s department of education, he is an active researcher, best known for his work on teacher stress.
Matt has written numerous best-selling A Level Psychology textbooks, as well as the popular teaching training guide The Psychology of Effective Learning and Teaching. He most recently co-authored OCR A Level Psychology with Julia Russell, Lizzie Gauntlett and Penny Crooks. He has written about his motivation for doing so in this article.
